Almost 99% of 3.0mm filament sold today is actually 2.85mm. There are very few printers that will print true 3.0mm filament but all printers that say they print “3.0mm” will print 2.85mm. It is common in the community to call 2.85mm filament 3.0mm, but we decided to make it crystal clear just what size filament you are purchasing.
Our filaments ship in a vacuum sealed bag with a measured amount of desiccant. It’s best to leave the material in the original packaging until you are ready to use. At first use and in between uses, place spool in a zip closure bag to an airtight container with the desiccant packet(s) to ensure longevity.
Our filament is guaranteed to print like new for one year from the purchase date while still sealed in original, unopened packaging. Once opened, it is all about the environment and storage protocol on your end. In humidity-controlled settings, the life span can be years. In the open air of a rainforest, you may only be looking at hours. Material storage is critical to consistent, high quality prints.
